System One has an outstanding opportunity for a talented and experienced SharePoint Developer to build and maintain a federal government client SharePoint Site.  This is a 6 month contract-to-perm based opportunity.  This individual will be able to work predominantly remote based with travel in to DC for meetings (local candidates only).

Job Description:

Level of experience:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Science, plus 10 years’ experience and certification, OR
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Science, plus 8 years’ relevant experience

Create a SharePoint portal that has the ability to integrate metrics, text, diagrams, & other file formats, publish and filter information for specific user groups, and contain workflow mechanisms as requested.  Portal must be able to display data visualization tools such as Tableau, Denodo, etc.  

 Examples of published information include but aren’t limited to:

  • SOPs & other reference material
  • Active links (applications inventory; enterprise architecture and IT standards; other useful tools like Jira, Clarity, Confluence,
    Remedy, meeting recordings)
  • Performance metrics
  • Announcements portlet
  • FAQs

 Technical skills:

  • Certificate in SharePoint development, administration a plus

Additional Details:

  • Serve as both a SharePoint solution architect as well as a developer.
  • Be customer facing, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to translate complicated architectural concepts into layman terms understood by the customer organization leads, who in many cases are the site owners.
  • Must have prior experience as senior developer, architect, or administrator actively managing and cleaning up site permissions at the enterprise level. They should be able to demonstrate best practices to mitigate/resolve large scale decentralized permission issues.
  • Preference to candidates that have prior experience in developing a Permissions (Structure) Model, able to develop and setup a Governance Strategy.
