Program Overview

The Engineering Leadership Rotational Program (LEAD) provides an opportunity for entry level engineering students ( recent graduates with BS or MS degrees ) to experience and explore a well-rounded and diverse set of experiences and opportunities. The program will expand on an individual’s knowledge and strengths in their collective area of engineering education and focuses on introducing practical systems and project base principles, while providing experiences. The individual will graduate from the program as a technically astute, well-rounded individual, with a spectrum of knowledge and experiences in practical engineering initiatives and principles, development process improvement initiatives, product development and commercialization, and a strong sense of system engineering

LEAD Program participant will be rotating within different engineering functions. The functions within Project Engineering include Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, Carborne Control systems, Automatic Train Supervision systems, Verifications and Validations, Safety and Quality.


The ICC Engineer (Integrated Control Center) is part of a team responsible for the deliveries associated with the ICC. The Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) subsystem is the main component of the ICC and is an integral part of rail traffic management systems.

The responsibilities of the ICC Application Design Engineer may include:
- Define, produce and validate all the application data and parameters needed to customize the customer solution, either at System level or at Subsystem level
- For IXL (Interlocking), produce Control Tables/Route Tables
- Produce the typical engineering drawings of the execution design
- Support in preparing the Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Manage all documents from the customer project to carry out application engineering studies during all project life

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar degrees
- Prior CoOp / Internship or research experience in engineering
