Electrical Revit Technician to assist Engineering and Construction Project Management Teams in the design and drafting of design/build projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
Participate in customer, project, and design meetings to gather and review project related requirements.
Leed and work with Engineering to prepare conceptual 2D or 3D models of facilities using limited information to support the sales and project development teams.
Prepare advanced AutoCAD/Revit detail from sketches, mark-up prints, as-built and other reference material under the direction of the Engineering Team, Account Executive, and/or supervisor.
Create final drawings with complete dimensional data for engineering and construction related purposes and review for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to required standards.
Perform basic design calculations (i.e. duct and pipe sizing, lighting calculations, etc.) under Engineer direction and review.
Set up and implement revision control procedures, organize existing drawings and serve as a single point of contact for drawing check out and design document control.
Create loop sheets and confirm wiring details based on supplied vendor information and other documents supplied by Engineering.
Modify existing drawings to conform with engineering design or construction changes.
Communicate project status to report target delivery, productivity, and quality of design.
Provide general administrative tasks for office including document reproduction work, bid document compilation and dissemination, and coordination with outside engineering document control personnel.
Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships.
Perform other duties as required.
High School, GED, technical training school, Associates Degree level graduate.
Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical design and drafting environment.
Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Proven experience performing basic engineering calculations including but not limited to algebraic, geometric, and trigonometric functions.
Superior organizational, project, time management, and resource planning skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication and technical presentation skills.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel spreadsheet skills.
