The primary function of this position is the service and certification/calibration of torque multipliers, hydraulic wrenches and hydraulic pumps for customer orders. Major responsibilities of this position include order entry, customer service, disassemble, trouble shoot, assemble, test, and package of the tools received. The products are usually standardized as to design and function, and methods applied are generally prescribed or standardized.

Qualifications - Education, Experience, and/or Training Required:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Certification in the areas of Assembly, Calibration-Conformance testing and Order Management is required.

    • Basic computer skills include knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word and the applicable functions of the company business system.

Essential Functions:

  • Order management responsibilities include creating folder to collect documents, entering orders into business system, follow up with customer questions and concerns using telephone/email/fax, provide quote for the cost of repair/calibration and contact for approval of quote while providing a positive experience for our customers.
  • Calibration-Certification of Accuracy Testing duty includes performing and documenting the actual testing/calibration of product on specialized testing equipment. Products are tested to loads as high as 83,000 ft-lbs of torque. Responsibilities to also include observation of test equipment to ensure that it is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Repair of tools responsibility includes disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, replacement of parts, and reassemble tool checking for proper operation. Knowledge required for this function includes basic understanding of gear trains, mechanical systems, and electrical circuits. Occasional use of an electrical multi-meter is required.
  • Do cleaning, fitting, filing, tapping, reaming, blending, polishing and aligning to ensure free action of movable parts and operating requirements.
  • Work from drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Gather customer information for contact information and credit purposes.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, gauging devices and perform various quality inspection type procedures to include dimensional verification and non-destructive testing.
  • Create credit memos and Performa invoices.
  • Repair of equipment includes disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, replacement of parts, reassemble, check and perform operational test
  • Fill equipment request orders including job preparation and truck loading
  • Follow up with internal and external customer questions and concerns via telephone or email.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment repairs and document all repairs maintaining high level of organization.
  • Management of repair part stock levels within area
  • Initiate purchase requisitions and follow up order of parts to complete equipment repairs
  • Responsible for product traceability; Company's  assets and customer property
  • Required to attend and pass training courses
  • Rental Equipment & Part Component Shipping & Receiving transactions in Oracle (Company ERP System) (Basic Computer Knowledge Recommended)
  • Work from drawings, maintenance manuals and manufacture specifications
  • Use gauging devices and perform various quality inspection type procedures
  • To be flexible and willing to assist with all duties within the workshop.
  • To educate fellow staff where necessary.
  • To ensure that the respective waste streams are managed on a daily basis.
  • To ensure that all workplace housekeeping duties are continuously performed.
  • To carry out driving duties in accordance with the Company’s requirements.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Participates in the On-call rotation
  • Participates in the On-Site Trailer Program (Refinery Operation- may be required to travel and work extended hours)

Additional Information: 

$18 per hour 

Paid Fridays (One week behind)
