Research Scientist

Education:

• Minimum of a BS in Chemistry,Engineering or other technical field

Experience:

• 3-5 year's experience in the coatings and/or food packaging industry

Knowledge on coating formulation/testing/application

• MS degree in chemistry or polymer science is preferred

- Experience in paper coating/printing industry is a big plus

Position Summary:

• Using “hands-on” technical expertise to create new coating products, and improve production processes
• Play a key role in the new product development, process development, and technical service functions for our leading coatings product line for sustainable food packaging
• Coordinate ingredient sourcing, testing of new ingredients, functional evaluations and approval process with Purchasing and Quality Departments

Location: Lincoln, RI 

Duration: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire (open to Direct Hire for right candidate)
