The Database Designer, CRS will provide advanced technical expertise to ensure the development of an accurate clinical database.
Responsibilities
1.    Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support of clinical research systems 

o    
2.    Program, test, and document databases in accordance with programming standards and validation procedures 

o    
3.    Mentor other team members and Lead Programmers in training and developing technical and/or database expertise 

o    
4.    Independently bring project solutions to the CRS team and the department 

o    
5.    Collaborate with the Clinical Trials Operations team, and Clinical Research staff in the ongoing maintenance and updates to the databases and corresponding documentation 

6.    Collaborate with business users in developing, implementing, testing and evaluating new technologies and upgrades to technologies 

7.    Develop, revise, and maintain core operating procedures and working instructions 

8.    Meet milestones as assigned, and interact with project teams to organize timelines, responsibilities and deliverables

10.    Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Science or related field is required. Master’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is a plus 
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
•    Minimum six (6) years of informatics experience is required. Minimum six (6) years of informatics experience with two (2) years in a clinical research environment preferred. Clinical Research Systems’ focused informatics experience including knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance preferred. Previous experience with clinical trials and research information systems preferred. Experience in data management in a clinical trial environment preferred. Experience with JavaScript, Oracle, Access, or SQL preferred. Programming experience in an EDC application, SAS or R preferred.
