Responsibilities:

  • Prepares entries related to month-end close processes such as reclasses, accruals and prepaid entries
  • Manages and assists the Business Units/Areas in the annual preparation of the 5-year Headcount, Labor, O&M and Capital Budgets
  • Works with analyst groups and management to explain variances related to current month, year-to-date, and latest estimate actual versus planned performance utilizing cost tracing and root cause analysis
  • Manages and assists the Business Units/Areas in forecasting O&M and Capital activities
  • Conducts FTE/Headcount/Org Chart reconciliation and reporting
  • Provides financial information in support of benchmarking efforts
  • Prepares analysis related to cost saving and/or efficiency opportunities
  • Assists with system, reporting & dashboard development and other related projects and initiatives
  • Prepares various financial analysis and modeling as requested in support of business decision making
  • Prepares ad-hoc analysis in support of business insights and business decision making
  • Performs role of subject matter expert and though partner to members of the operations or shares services team on all things financial including support for business case creation
  • Provides a high degree of service to the company’s internal customers by responding to financial related questions comprehensively and timely

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree or relevant Certification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Relative experience in supporting the electric or gas utility industry
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a history of a safe driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task various critical work assignments proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment and in a professional manner
  • Exceptionally strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working with moderately complex data
  • Ability to travel between business related events
  • Work hours may be extended
