System One seeks a Buyer to handle procurement tasks for a leading custom solutions manufacturer. The role involves processing orders efficiently and negotiating with vendors for optimal pricing and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process orders and requisitions according to established guidelines.
- Communicate with vendors to gather product/service details and negotiate terms.
- Select products/services based on price, quality, and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy of specifications.
- Expedite orders when necessary and address any issues with products/services.
- Identify and recommend new vendors, maintain vendor relations, and assist with invoice resolution.
- Maintain procurement records and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Certification as a Purchasing Professional (CPP) is a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing, particularly in metal fabrication, is desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of procurement practices are essential.
