Title: EDI Architect, Edifecs
Location: ALTA is supporting a direct hire opportunity for a client working remote from anywhere preferably in either the EST or CST time zone


Summary:
This Architect serves in a very key role with the client’s IT leadership team.  This is on an aggressive growth plan and there is a very distinct job advancement path to Director and VP of Application Development.  This role can be completely remote, however the candidate must reside in one of the following states, OR be willing to relocate to one of them prior to their first day of work:  WV, OH, PA, TN, TX, NC, FL.


Responsibilities:

• Leading teams in the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions, including healthcare information exchange, healthcare claims processing, and revenue cycle management systems.
• Designed and implemented validation rules, and EDIFECS Enterprise Suite workflows to enable efficient and accurate processing of Medicaid claims.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of MMIS systems and associated Business Processes, including claims processing, provider management, and eligibility determination.
• Understanding clients’ business needs and translating them into technical requirements and solutions.
• Leading and participating in the design and development of integration solutions using Edifecs products, including Edifecs SpecBuilder, Edifecs XEngine, and Edifecs Transaction Management.
• Collaborating with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure successful delivery of projects.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and reporting project status to upper management and clients.
• Ensuring the successful delivery of projects, including meeting project objectives, milestones, and quality standards.
• Maintained knowledge of the latest industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to Medicaid programs and MMIS development. 
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including project plans, design documents, and technical specifications.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to other team members.
• Contributing to the development of best practices and standards for solution design and development.

• Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science or related field.
• At least 7 years of programming experience.
• Must have strong experience with Edifecs software.
• At least four years of experience in the Health Care Industry working with HIPAA Standard X12 files.
• Strong knowledge in C#, SQL Query and VB6.
• Professional manner and accountable for work performed.
• Strong independent work ethic.
• Efficient and accurate coder.
• Excellent database management skills.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to make decisions, solve problems, analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution.
