Software Quality Assurance Engineer:

- Translate Application Logic Test Procedures, requirements, and use cases into functional, fail-safe logic test scripts/reports.

- Design, build and maintain efficient, well-commented, reusable, and reliable test scripts and test forms using SSPS Lua-based scripting language and Excel VBA.

- Ensure the best performance, quality, and reliability of the test scripts/reports.

- Test for, and identify potential performance issues and bugs, devise remediation to this issues.

- Work with a team to develop new software applications and add features to existing ones in the railroad signaling industry

- Develop PC-based applications for configuration, command and control of embedded products

- Translate customer needs into achievable product performance requirements

- Support the full software development life cycle including Requirements, Design, Implementation, Integration, Test, Document Approvals
Skills, Experience, Education:

- Experience with MS Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft VBA), specifically VBA usage in Excel, with a good knowledge of its syntax, and libraries.

- Experience with scripting languages such as Lua, Python, Node.js/Javascript, etc - while Lua preferred, it not required. However must be able to navigate documentation, and API model to start writing test scripts using our SSPS (Lua-based) scripting language after reasonably minimal time.

- Experience with .Net, VB.Net, C#, C/C++ will be a big plus

- Previous experience as a SQA - Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, SDE, SDET, software engineer, software developer, programmer analyst, etc

- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.
