Title: Lab Technician II
Hours: Full Time, M-F
Location: Exton, PA
-analyze and / or test under GMP raw materials, intermediates and finished products applying validated or compendia methods.
-Performs/Applies knowledge and skills to diverse and complex reactions. Release testing of products according to current compendia, regulatory and corporate quality systems and principles.
-Autonomous accomplishment of analysis in the laboratory.
-Prepares standards, mobile phases, and reagents.
-Maintains, calibrates, and monitors laboratory equipment (HPLC, GPC, FTIR, Instron, Physical testing equipment, etc.)
-Analyzes intermediates stability samples and finished products for required tests by various analytical and instrumental methods.
-Performs calculations, collects and prepares data for evaluation.
-Reviews data to ensure accuracy prior to reporting.
-Perform administrative lab tasks, such as updating SOP’s.
-Keeps supervisor informed of work status and suggests follow-up action to resolve atypical results and any problems encountered.
-Maintains good documentation practices.
-Ensures incidents are investigated, reported, and risks are assessed in a timely basis.
-Acts in such a way that safety awareness & accident prevention are considered in performing all tasks
-Shows leadership by working to standards and encouraging colleagues to work to the same standards.
-Ensures SOP’s are up to date and in compliance with current Compendia and updates them if required.
-Performs and documents all work in adherence with cGMP guidelines.
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline required.
-Broad / General knowledge of quality control techniques and methods
-1-4 years of experience in a lab of the Life Science Industry utilizing various instrumentation (HPLC,UPLC,TOC, IR, etc)
-Demonstrate the ability to perform most lab specific analytical methods
-Complete analysis on raw materials and finished products within an agreed upon turnaround time.
-Broad understanding of safety, laboratory hygiene and GMP rules
-Experience in Microsoft Office (outlook, word, and excel)
