  • With minimal supervision repairs and installs equipment throughout the plant by fabricating, welding and pipefitting
  • Performs other general maintenance responsibilities as required
    Prepares plans for plant upgrades based on requests from Facility Maintenance Manager
  • Assembles equipment as required from blue prints and schematics
  • Troubleshoots reported equipment difficulties, proposes corrections, and once approved, performs suggested repair
  • Proposes and performs preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Responsible for being familiar with location and operation of all piping and related equipment
  • Responds to off shift requests for onsite equipment repair
  • Trains Company staff on safety precautions to be used while using welding equipment
  • Responsible for being knowledgeable regarding local construction codes and compliance
  • Must be able to layout and cost/estimate jobs
  • Maintains all company tools and equipment
  • Identifies methods of waste reduction, suggesting implementation as indicated
  • Makes authorized expenditures in the most cost effective and responsible manner possible
    Interacts with all departments to keep building, equipment, and office and plant machinery in operating condition
  • Attends internal and external training as required
    Responsible for being familiar with the safety procedures and hazards of the materials handled
  • Understands the hazards of spills or releases of chemicals or products into the environment; knows how to recognize such releases; the actions to take in the event of a release and the procedures to follow for cleaning up such releases.
  • This position requires the associate to wear a uniform, steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses that meet the ANSI-Z87 standard
  • Has responsibility to report incidences of Quality Nonconformance and recommends improvements when inefficiencies are observed



  • High School Diploma / GED required; vocational training in welding preferred
    10+ years of experience in general plant maintenance and 5+ years of industrial pipefitting experience
  • Must have a working knowledge of departmental computer software and applications with basic PC skills desired
  • Has participated in ISO 9000 training
  • Must be available for flexible hours, days, nights, weekdays, weekends or Holidays as required
  • Must be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime if required
  • Must be able to operate forklift
    Must be able to lift, push, pull or move 35 - 50 pounds
  • Must be able to use equipment to move equipment heavier than 50 pounds without damage
