System One has an immediate opening for an O&M Area Manager for a large energy services client located in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Operations & Maintenance Area Manager will have a strong background in Facility Maintenance and Equipment/System Issue Troubleshooting, mostly focused on HVAC, DDC, Power Generation, Solar, Lighting and Water Conservation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.

The O&M Area Manager will have the following experience profile:

  • College graduate preferred (Business or Engineering field)
  • 10+ years of Management /Engineering experience pertaining to all Building / Facilities Operations, Maintenance and repair
  • Employee supervision experience (5+ years)
  • Experience working with customers and managing/directing subcontractors (5+ years)
  • Experience with large multi-year O&M service contracts, including writing contract scopes and reviewing terms & conditions
  • Extensive HVAC and DDC background, management and hands-on (10+ years)
  • Experience with equipment & system troubleshooting and root cause analyses
  • Experience with software Work Order systems

O&M Area Manager Responsibilities

  • Strong background in Facility Maintenance and equipment/system issue troubleshooting, mostly focused on HVAC, DDC, Power generation, Solar, Lighting and water conservation
  • Perform inspections of Facilities equipment to ascertain proper operations and generate detailed reports, similar to CX
  • Collect and utilize electronic trend data from flow meters, electrical meters and DDC systems to determine proper operations of equipment
  • Capable of writing and/or reviewing maintenance subcontract scopes, RFP’s, and customer maintenance proposal documents
  • Excellent computer skills required. Must be able to navigate files and folders on computers and networks. Required to use Word, Excel, PDF and Outlook on a daily basis
  • Must have excellent Excel skills, capable of reviewing and generating detailed spreadsheets to track and analysis budgets, trend data and project status
  • Excellent people skills. Maintain excellent customer satisfaction, mostly military and Fed/State government employees
  • Extensive travel required (40-60%), but usually not more than 1 week per trip.
