Provide direct staff support to the nuclear Fleet Operations Corporate Functional Area Manager (CFAM) for the governance, oversight and support of fleet nuclear sites as detailed in fleet administrative procedure EN-FAP-OM-011, Corporate Oversight Model.
Ensuring fleet standardization in areas such as similar equipment and functional area practices by establishing fleet standard programs and processes that can be easily implemented by properly trained and qualified personnel and assuring key processes and procedures are maintained
Keeping abreast of industry best performance and obtaining useful information for the Functional Area Peer Group by participation in industry CFAM organizations, INPO groups, Entergy INPO Loanee counterpart and other industry groups (e.g., EPRI, NEI)
Developing and maintaining an oversight plan consisting of plant oversight, assessments, industry interface, and assistance provided and updating the functional area action plan based on analysis and fleet significance to include gaps to industry excellence, required actions, and PCRS tracking
Performing Site Performance Review Visits (SPRV), including behavioral observations and corporate touchpoint oversight activities as applicable to gain first-hand knowledge of site performance and issues
Participating in performance improvement deep-dives, Corporate Event Response Teams, leadership assessments and mid-cycle assessments as required
Providing support for CFAM preparation for Oversight Analysis Meetings (OAM) and Oversight Review Boards (ORB) and developing and submitting a trimester area summary report
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience
Minimum experience required of the position
6 years commercial or military nuclear experience.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
SRO license or certification on BWR or PWR (desired).
Fleet program oversight of Rigging and Lifting experience (desired)
Foreign Material Exclusion and other Maintenance related programs (desired)
Experience at the Superintendent level (desired)
