The position is for an experienced Windows Software Engineer to support application development and upgrades for railroad traffic control systems:

- Design and implement Object-Oriented (Visual C++, C#, .NET) software solutions for a Train Dispatching / Traffic Control System.

- Proven ability to understand a legacy system and design new functionality.

- Work with a field support team to diagnose customer issues and quickly resolve issues.

- Define and execute unit, sub-system, and system tests to validate system behavior.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements as well as perform system testing.

 

Skills, Experience, Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other similar disciplines.

- At least several years of full time experience as a software developer.

- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.

- Experience with Windows platforms with MS SQL Server database / T-SQL.

- Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), XAML, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).

- Experience with Model View Controller(MVC), MVP(Model View Presenter) and Model-View ViewModel (MVVM) architecture.

- Experience with development of web applications (ASP.NET).

- Working knowledge in configuration management and defect tracking tools like ClearCase, ClearQuest or similar.

- Any previous experience with rail signaling systems: ITCS, Cab-Signaling, CBTC, IETMS, PTC, etc will be a big plus.
