System One is seeking a GIS Technician for a temporary assignment in the OKC area. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule with flexible M-F hours.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize GIS software to update and maintain gas system and land base spatial data based on information received from internal field operations and external sources.
- Provide entry level GIS-based mapping services to Operations Division to support activities companywide, utilizing GIS software to update and maintain gas system.
- Analyze and interpret source documentation for completeness, accuracy, and usability.
- Communicate with business operations to resolve source documentation problems.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- GIS software
- Basic geospatial concepts including:
- Data formats
- Coordinate systems and map projections
- Table and spatial queries
- Attribute mapping
