System One is assisting a Tulsa company with a search for a Senior Tax Accountant. The Senior Tax Accountant will work with others who excel in their areas of expertise.
Responsibilities:
-
Assist in the preparation and review of Federal and State Income Tax returns
-
Involved with calculating the tax provision and the quarterly estimated tax payments
-
Assist with the preparation of monthly sales and use tax returns
-
Gather supporting data for internal and external requests including transaction tax audits and research related issues
-
Pull information together in support of property tax filings
-
Assist with the calculation of the foreign tax provision and financial statement reporting
-
Handle notices from taxing authorities seeing them through to resolution
-
Research tax issues and positions, both domestic and international, documenting recommendations
-
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 – 5 years of income tax experience, preferably in public accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or CPA eligible highly preferred
- Federal and state income tax return preparation experience required
- Sales and use tax return preparation experience, a plus
- Strong Excel skills and good with computer systems
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic
- Ability to work across different time zones and cultures
